Andrea Pisanu signs loan deal with Montreal Impact
Bologna FC have agreed to terms with Montreal Impact on the transfer of 30-year old winger Andrea Pisanu for a 1 year loan.
Pisanu was previously on loan to Prato, where he scored 11 goals in 23 matches since 2011. Prior to his time with Bologna, Pisanu spent 6 seasons with Parma recording 8 goals in 82 fixtures.
Under owner Joey Saputo, Montreal Impact have brought in a number of Italian veterans to bolster their ranks since joining MLS in 2012.

30-year old forward Andrea Pisanu is reportedly in talks with Montreal to join fellow countrymen Marco Di Vaio, Matteo Ferrari, Alessandro Nesta, and Bernardo Corradi.
Pisanu has been with Prato on loan from Bologna since August 2011, and scored 11 goals in 23 appearances for the club. He has spent his entire career in Italy, playing for numerous organizations including Cagliari, Siena, Verona, and Parma.
Rumour: Martin Andermatt Could Be Next Head Coach At Montreal Impact
Currently in charge of Swiss Super League side AC Bellinzona, Martin Andermatt has been mentioned as the possible successor to Jesse Marsch.
Previously the skipper of Young Boys, Eintracht Frankfurt, and other strong sides dating back to 1995, Andermatt has had an up-and-down career being in charge of clubs through promotion and relegation across European leagues.
Justin Mapp Re-Signs With Montreal Impact
The 28-year old Mapp had his option declined following the 2012 season where he earned $218,333.33, but it appears the two sides have come to agreeable terms ahead of the 2nd round of the MLS Re-Entry Draft.
Appearing in 27 games last season at midfield, Mapp knocked in 2 goals and had 5 assists. He has played all 248 games of his professional career in the MLS since 2002.
Rumour: Owen Hargreaves Looks for MLS Move
Hargreaves hasn’t seen much time on the field with Manchester City’s first team, seeing action in only 2 games since moving over from Manchester United in 2011.
At 31-years of age, the Canadian-born Midefielder, who played his international career with England has admitted to have taken a step back from football of late.
Hargeaves has been quoted as saying “it is a big move, you have to decide do you want to make the move, a big change. There are so many things I could do there and it would be nice to spend time in Canada.”
Montreal Impact, Toronto FC, and Vancouver Whitecaps would all likely jump at the chance to add him to their rosters. If the price is right.
Rumour: Oussama Essabr to Montreal Impact
After scoring for Montreal in their 4-1 victory over ACF Fiorentina during the club’s training tour of Italy following their inaugural MLS season, Oussama Essabr has been mentioned as a possible signing for L’Impact from Juventus this winter.
Progressing through the youth system at Juventus, the 23 year old Moroccan striker has spent most of his professional career on loan to numerous Italian clubs below the top flight. He has been on trial with Montreal since November, and seems to have impressed the Canadian club.
