Rumour: Frank Lampard joining LA Galaxy
An apparent tentative agreement has been reached between Frank Lampard and the LA that would see the English superstar replacing David Beckham as the face of the Galaxy.
The 34-year old midfielder has a wealth of experience for both club and country, netting 24 goals in 148 games for West Ham United, then after a short loan to Swansea City he spent the majority of his career up to this point with Chelsea Football Club amassing 133 goals in 388 games for The Blues. He also has 93 senior caps for England where he put away another 26 goals.
Having played in Euro, Champions League, and World Cup tournaments, Lampard has one of the most impressive resumes of any active player the world over.
With David Beckham moving on from LA after back-to-back MLS Cup victories, the Galaxy are eager to bring in a big name replacement to their side. Chelsea have made it clear that after a 12 year relationship they would not be extending any new offers to Lampard after his contract expires in June. Despite his age, Lampard has had a terrific campaign so far in 2012/13 scoring 7 goals in 14 games from his position in midfield.
Juninho completes permanent move to LA Galaxy
After spending the last 3 seasons on loan to LA Galaxy from Sao Paulo, Juninho has joined LA permanently after being released by the Brazilian club.
With 13 goals in 87 games, the midfielder has been an important part of the Galaxy squad, helping to win 2 Supporters Shield honours and 2 MLS Cups.
Rumour: Nicolas Anelka linked to LA Galaxy?
33-year old Nicolas Anelka is in France training with his old club Paris Saint-Germain to keep up fitness during winter break from Shanghai Shenhua.
Understood to be unhappy in his role as Player/Coach with his current club, the striker is reportedly looking for a transfer with a number of possible teams being mentioned including LA Galaxy.
His playing career dating back to 1996 has been impressive and includes many of the biggest clubs in the world. Anelka has scored 153 goals in 481 games for massive clubs including PSG, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City, Fenerbahce, Bolton Wanderers, Chelsea, and now Shanghai Shenhua.
Anelka retired from international football in 2010 after notching 14 goals in 69 appearances for France.

Gale Agbossoumonde To Be Allocated By Lottery Today
The 21-year old native of Tongo has apparently signed a contract with MLS and will be allocated to one of the 19 clubs today via a lottery.
The US International defender has spent much of the last 3 seasons on loan to clubs around the world, with Sporting Braga and Eintracht Frankfurt being a couple of the big name clubs he has played for.
Most recently on Loan to Carolina Railhawks, the team which Vancouver Whitecaps head coach Martin Rennie was previously in charge of, he saw action in 17 games and registered 1 goal.
Toronto FC, LA Galaxy, Seattle Sounders, FC Dallas and 2 other clubs are in contention to land the young defender.
Gyasi Zardes Signs Homegrown Contract With LA Galaxy
After speculation yesterday that a deal was in the works, it has been confirmed by the team to be done.
The highly touted Zardes joins the MLS Cup Champion LA Galaxy from CSU Bakersfield where he was a very productive goal scorer, netting 33 goals in 37 games over the last 2 years with his college club.
Terms of the contract were not released as per club and league policy, though it is said he turned down an offer of $100,000 to join the team last season.
Rumour: Carlo Cudicini To Join LA Galaxy From Tottenham Hotspur
39-year old goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini is reported to be nearing a 2 year deal with MLS side LA Galaxy from Tottenham Hotspur.
Only appearing in 20 games since 2009 for Spurs, Cudicini has found himself to be the 3rd-string keeper behind both Hugo Lloris and Brad Freidel.
Cudicini has nearly 20 years of experience playing for top clubs, seeing action in over 140 games for Chelsea. Some of the honours he has won include Premier League title in 04/05 and 05/06, as well as FA Cup titles in 99/00 and 06/07.
He also played in more than 20 games for Italy’s U-18 and U-21 programs back in the 1990’s.

An LA Galaxy Academy player from 2008 to 2010, forward Gyasi Zardes has turned some heads playing college soccer for Cal-State Bakersfield.
With 38 goals and 18 assists in 56 games spread over 3 years with CSUB, the 21-year old was a very highly ranked prospect.
Galaxy Trade Edson Buddle to Colorado
Los Angeles Galaxy has parted ways with striker Edson Buddle, sending him to Colorado Rapids for Allocation Money and a 1st Round pick in the 2013 MLS Supplemental Draft.
Buddle didn’t see much time on the field last season with LA, seeing actionm in only 19 games. He only put away 3 goals in that time, which paled in comparison to his previous stint with LA where he scored 42 goals in 87 games from 2007 to 2010.
He had a brief spell in the German Second Division with Ingolstadt 04 between campaigns with LA, where he scored 9 goals in 31 games. The 31-year old has featured in 11 matches for the US Mens National Team since 2003, scoring 3 goals.
LA Galaxy Acquires #2 Spot In 2nd Round of 2012 MLS Re-Entry Draft
With less than 20 minuets to go until the start of the Draft, LA Galaxy has made a trade with Chivas USA that will see LA receive the #2 spot in the draft. In exchange, Chivas will receive the #19 spot, an International Roster Spot, and a 1st Round pick in the MLS Supplemental Draft.
