Kevin Harbottle signs with Colorado Rapids
Attacking midfielder Kevin Harbottle has signed with Colorado Rapids from Universidad Catolica of the Chilean Primera Division.
The 22-year old Chilean international has 1 cap to his name and has featured in 93 professional matches dating back to 2008 with Antofagasta. He has recorded 22 goals in that time.
Terms of the deal were not released as per club and league policy.
Breaking: Jeff Larentowicz traded to Chicago Fire
Colorado Rapids have traded Jeff Larentowicz and the 30th overall SuperDraft pick to Chicago for the 11th overall SuperDraft pick, an international roster spot for 2013, and $75,000 of Allocation money.
Larentowicz had been with Colorado since 2010 when they won the MLS Cup, making 96 appearances for the club and tallying 14 goals. Prior to being with Colorado, Larentowicz spent 5 years with New England Revolution, seeing action in 111 games.
Since 2011, the “Ginger Ninja” has had 4 caps with the US Mens National team.

26-year old Diego Calderon has signed with Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer after weeks of speculation.
The Ecuadorian international has spent the majority of his career with LDU Quinto, winning 3 league championships and the Copa Libertadores along the way.
Colorado Rapids trade Omar Cummings to Houston Dynamo
Omar Cummings has left Colorado to join Houston Dynamo in exchange for Nathan Sturgis and an undisclosed amount of Allocation Money.
The Jamaican has made 28 appearances for his country, and notched 7 goals in international play. The 30-year old forward had spent his entire pro career with Colorado with 39 goals in 148 games.
Cummings earned a seemingly paltry sum of $95,999.96 last season.
Sturgis, a 25-year old D/M saw time in only 5 games last season for Houston after a move from Toronto FC. The ex-Generation Adidas player, and 12th overall pick in the 2006 MLS SuperDraft earned $93,500.00 in 2012.

The 30-year old Panamanian forward has a proven goal scoring record, dating back to 2004 with CD Chalatenango. He has been linked to 2 teams in MLS, Houston Dynamo and Colorado Rapids.
Currently with CONCACAF Champions League qualifiers Isidro Metapan in El Salvador, Nicolas Munoz has 142 goals for the numerous clubs he has been a part of.
Rumour: Diego Calderon To Sign With Colorado Rapids
At 26, Diego Calderon has played his entire professional career under contract with LDU Quinto in Ecuador’s Serie A, with a short loan spell to Serie B side Deportivo Azogues.
Calderon has won a fair amount of hardware as part of the highly successful LDU Quinto squad. He is a natural defender who has won Serie A, Copa Libertadores, and Copa Sudamericana competitions.
As a regular starter, he also featured in the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup where his Ecuadorian club beat Pachuca 2-0, but despite a solid performance fell to Manchester United 0-1.
Galaxy Trade Edson Buddle to Colorado
Los Angeles Galaxy has parted ways with striker Edson Buddle, sending him to Colorado Rapids for Allocation Money and a 1st Round pick in the 2013 MLS Supplemental Draft.
Buddle didn’t see much time on the field last season with LA, seeing actionm in only 19 games. He only put away 3 goals in that time, which paled in comparison to his previous stint with LA where he scored 42 goals in 87 games from 2007 to 2010.
He had a brief spell in the German Second Division with Ingolstadt 04 between campaigns with LA, where he scored 9 goals in 31 games. The 31-year old has featured in 11 matches for the US Mens National Team since 2003, scoring 3 goals.
